The Art of Collaboration

April 30, 2012 By Gloria B. Collins

We have come full circle in how we do business. Many small business owners have embraced the idea again of working in partnership with other small businesses. Sort of the old fashioned “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with James Bedell, a lighting specialist, desiring to teach his audience … [Read more...]

From a small leak grew a vintage garden

July 22, 2011 By Gloria B. Collins

Recently, my husband and I were forced to plunge ahead and replace the liner in our pool. Every year since the leak started we would patch it up and hope for the best. Unfortunately, this year we were forced to take the plunge and replace it entirely. We also accepted the fact that this project was likely to be borne at a significant expense and … [Read more...]

LIFE is meant to be lived

February 21, 2011 By Gloria B. Collins

LIFE is meant to be lived and it passes in the blink of an eye. I make every day special in our home. Not so much by filling it with things to do, but more importantly by finding excitement in all the things that need to get done. The house work will never go away so I just embrace the opportunity to make my life shine! … [Read more...]

Creating another day!

January 13, 2011 By Gloria B. Collins

A new year beginning means I’m getting another chance. I’m not generally one for making New Years resolutions and I stopped when I felt like a failure over those times I didn’t follow through. More excitingly, I find myself constantly re-creating myself as the year goes on. I do however, like to take the time to reflect and learn from the events of … [Read more...]

Going Green for the Holidays

November 29, 2010 By Gloria B. Collins

watercolor sketch by Gloria B. Collins of coffee and Christmas gift

The holiday season is upon us and many consider it the season of waste. Well, I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be. It can be the season of green (the environmental kind that is). It’s apparent that now more than ever we are becoming more conscious about what comes into our homes. What I have also noticed is that because more … [Read more...]

Green people attracting greener lives.

November 8, 2010 By Gloria B. Collins

Since I began my business a little over a year ago, the slow and steady process of developing it has been one filled with a constant stream of encounters with folks that are just as conscious about the environment as I’ve become. These are people who value all the connections between the choices we make and the impact each one of those choices … [Read more...]

Here in Ireland, I've been walking daily, even in Here in Ireland, I've been walking daily, even in the rain. Investing in waterproof gear, warm boots, and clothing is essential to keep exercising.

Since we are in a tiny little village, there are no gyms, but fortunately, there are plenty of steep hills and stairs, which is perfect for maintaining our physique and a good routine. Walking and breathing in the fresh sea air relaxes and invigorates positive mental health.

As we get older, we need to be consistent with exercise, so I encourage you to put it on your daily to-do list and, without fail, and get some walking done. #retiermentlife #retimentplan #healthylifestyle #loveyyourbodynow #kinsaleireland Follow me on @anillustrativelife Newsletter out biweekly now.

Ready Set go~ Let’s Transition into Retirement! Ready Set go~ Let’s Transition into Retirement! Are we ready?

Can't avoid it, it's here, and now what?

As we enter this new season of life, our aim should be to catch as much pleasure as possible wherever possible.

Now it's your turn; what truly brings you joy?
Let's "Dream Map" together.

There is so much more to Retirement. It's not about not showing up for work and doing nothing; it's about embracing a new chapter where you have the freedom and flexibility to pursue your dreams and live on your terms.

Take the time now to imagine and dare to dream of the endless opportunities still open to you and start planning for the Retirement you deserve. I love taking classes and have time now, too, so here is an example of an online course from @wildink_artclass @wildinksketch where I learned how to linocut.
Check her class library. It's full of great fun classes.
