I’m sitting here in my living room and it’s early morning two days after Christmas, while everyone is in bed after the holiday.
The days following Christmas are incredibly satisfying and just as important as the lead-up. It’s important to look back now at the accomplishment that just took place, the micro planning, decorating, prepping and orchestrating to show your appreciation for those you love.
Showing you care on Christmas
Hard work is easy to hide from, and most of us procrastinate over the myriad of daily goals we set for ourselves. The lack of consistent follow-through leaves us unhappy. But, an interesting thing I’ve noticed is if you’ve managed to put together a big two or three-day party for your family, and your feet are finally being put up after the whirlwind, then please stop for a moment and give yourself a hand.
Be kind to yourself
Look at what you’ve done. If you’ve kept a journal, maybe one assigned specifically for your holidays, where you keep records and organize all your gift ideas, menus for all parties, along with decorating inspiration . Now is the time to write a recap. How’d you do? What would you do better next year? And more important how were you feeling during this Holiday.
Acknowledge yourself enough to say “thank you “for a job well done.
